Please head over to the registration page if you still haven't registered! Our registrar has sent out several emails with important information and attachments via email. Please check your junk folders to be sure none went to spam. If you did not receive them please email registrar@laurelmusiccamp.com to have them re-sent.  Our Packing List and Checklist are on our website under the Registration tab.  The Nurse's Checklist and Health Forms are on the drop down under Health Form Info.

Some important things to have ready for check in:
- Your health forms (every camper must get a physical within one year of camp; physicals from June 2018 can be used to fill out these forms). Health forms must mailed in advance to Jeff Liskin; post-marked by June 14. If you are submitting a CAMP FOOD ACCOMMODATION REQUEST Jeff must receive that form no later than than June 7.
- Your BSA form. Print and bring this with you to check in!
- Your final payment. Can be made ahead of time via PayPal or via check at check in. NO CREDIT CARDS CAN BE ACCEPTED AT CHECK IN.
- Friendly reminder: concert attire is ALL BLACK. Don't forget!

Check in starts at 9AM on Saturday June 22, 2019. All campers must be registered before noon that day.

CAMP IS SO CLOSE! We cannot wait to see the blooming Laurel at Camp Workcoeman with everyone at check in 8 SHORT DAYS!

A quick announcement/reminder: our concluding concert this year will be held on Friday June 29th at 7PM at Naugatuck High School. We are very excited to be returning back to this beautiful auditorium to share all of the wonderful musical work we put together during the week of camp.

A reminder for campers on Concert Dress:

We ask that students wear “concert black” for the concert. While tuxedos and formal dresses are not needed, we do ask that campers dress nicely for the event. We like to think of it as Sunday’s best attire, rather than black tie.
    • Black pants or skirt (knee length or below)
    • Black button down shirt or nice blouse
    • Black dress (knee length or below)
    • Black Shoes
    • A black tie is optional
    • A Jacket is not required (If not wearing a suit jacket, please wear a black collar shirt
    What don’t I wear?
    • Plastic flip-flops
    • Very short or revealing clothing
    • White socks with black shoes
Please remember that the students perform on an elevated stage under bright lights.  See-through clothing or short skirts are not appropriate – these are very obvious on stage.

Please make sure to practice your chicken dance moves and we'll see you so soon!

At Nobles, she conducts the Upper School Concert Choir, Middle School Chorus, Imani (Gospel and Multi-Cultural ensemble), and music directs the Nobleonians (all-male a cappella group) the Half-Notes (middle school a cappella group), and the annual school musical.

Before moving to the Boston area, Nhung taught choral music and IB Music at Sturgis Charter Public School in Hyannis, MA, was a graduate conductor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she conducted the Recital Choir and the Women’s Choir, and directed choirs at the United Church of Bernardston and Berkshire Hills Music Academy. In 2016, Nhung was the Music Director at the Cotuit Center for the Arts for their summer mainstage musical Oklahoma! She has also guest taught at local high schools coaching young conductors.

Nhung is an active member of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). She has held several volunteer leadership positions within these organizations, including Assistant Manager of the MMEA Eastern District Senior Chorus, for whom she will serve as Manager in 2019. Nhung also published an article for the Massachusetts Music Educators Journal titled Do Years of Teaching Experience and Degrees Affect the Hiring Process? As a performer, Nhung sings alto in the Seraphim Singers, a semi-professional choir based in Boston.

Nhung has attended Laurel Music Camp since 2005 as a camper, Junior Counselor, and as a Senior Staff Member. She is entering her sixth year on Senior Staff and during this time she has served as Assistant Choir Chair and Choir Chair.

Nhung holds a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from UMass-Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Providence College. Her conducting mentors include Dr. Tony Thornton and Dr. T.J. Harper.
